On September 7, Tang Yi, Vice Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Party Secretary of Chifeng City, together with Luan Tianmeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Chifeng, met with Yuan Zhilun, Chairman of Chongqing Bosai Minerals (Group) Co., Ltd., and his delegation. They jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of the project for an annual production base of 240,000 tonnes of manganese‑based high‑end metal materials. Vice Mayor Zhao Zhigang and Yu Jiang, Deputy General Manager of Bosai Group, signed the project investment cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.

Bosai Group has long focused on its two core business segments: aluminium‑based products and manganese‑based products. The Group selected Chifeng as the location for its 240 000‑tpy manganese‑based new‑materials base, drawn by Chifeng’s unique geographical advantages, abundant green‑power resources and solid metallurgical‑industry foundation. The complete supporting facilities and strong project‑undertaking capacity of Chifeng High‑Tech Zone are highly aligned with Bosai Group’s plan to build a green, intelligent and high‑end manganese‑materials base.

Covering a land area of approximately 700 mu, the project is projected to generate an annual output value of over RMB 4.5 billion upon completion. It is targeted for completion and commissioning by the end of 2027.
The project mainly produces high‑purity manganese‑based new materials, which are indispensable key raw materials for emerging sectors including new‑energy‑battery cathode materials, high‑grade alloy steel, aerospace alloys and electronic materials, boasting broad application prospects.
